Dear Parents,  We have started our exploration of feelings! Students are learning about a variety of feelings and are working on identifying facial expressions in other people. We are matching pictures of people showing a specific emotion to a card with a particular emotion shown. We are developing emotional understanding through art activities, building faces in our center activities, and through movements that can show specific feelings.

Lockdown Practice - Feb. 25th

Good Afternoon Keeler Families, Safety Precautions at Keeler School The safety of all students and staff at Keeler School is of great importance. As such, we have established appropriate safety measures for the various situations that may occur and affect our staff and students. Fire drills are a long-standing expectation of everyone who congregates in a setting such as a school. We are required to have a minimum of six fire drills each school year. Feb. 18th-March 5th: Lots of Feelings!

Dear Parents, In EDC we are learning about all different kinds of feelings! We are learning about what these feelings are called, how they feel in our bodies, and what they look like on our faces. We are reading a book and matching pictures of people with specific feelings to help us develop a stronger understanding of other people. We are reading lots of stories about feelings, making feelings puppets, and doing a scavenger hunt with different kinds of movement in gym. Stay tuned for pictures of our learning! Kind regards, EDC Team

Dear Parents, We have had so much fun this week playing with snow! We talked about fun activities we can do in the snow, we tried to build snowmen, and we explored snow with our senses. We are also working on matching objects - pairs of heart erasers, and big and small paper hearts, and sequencing events in a story - the order of animals in The Mitten.
