Dear Parents, 

We have started our exploration of feelings! Students are learning about a variety of feelings and are working on identifying facial expressions in other people. We are matching pictures of people showing a specific emotion to a card with a particular emotion shown. We are developing emotional understanding through art activities, building faces in our center activities, and through movements that can show specific feelings.

Good Afternoon Keeler Families, Due to the ongoing health risk of COVID-19, the Calgary Board of Education has made the decision to move   ALL   modified calendar schools and programs to the traditional calendar next year. Hi Parents,  Your child received a paper copy of the following notice today:  Dear EDC Parents, My name is Emily Cadman and I am a new EDC (Early Development Centre) teacher at Keeler School. I have already enjoyed the first few days of getting to know your child and am looking forward to continuing to work with them this year. Cold Weather Guidelines

Dear Parents, It is very important that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather, including hats, gloves, mittens, etc. We do not have enough clothing to lend out to kids who need these items and we also do not have the staff to be able to supervise a lot of kids inside on colder days over lunch and recess times. We will, however, have indoor recess and lunches when temperatures reach -20 Celsius or colder including wind-chill factor.  When temperatures reach -20 Celsius or colder including the wind-chill factor, it is recommended that students be kept inside for recess or lunch breaks. The minus 20 Celsius guideline is comparable to other school jurisdictions in Alberta and across Canada.   note | this temperature is provided as a guideline and may be adjusted for the school/activity.
