Students worked hard this week to finish their very own big green monsters! We have been reading "Go Away, Big Green Monster" with our interactive monster model and students have been learning about parts of our faces and bodies.

Good Afternoon Keeler Families, We just wanted to reach out and provide some reminders and upcoming changes happening at Keeler. School council meeting Wednesday February 26th at 6:00pm Class and Spring pictures are on Wednesday February 26th. Front doors open at 8:00am - please ensure your child is not at school before this time as we do not have the capacity to supervise prior to 8:00am Starting April 6th, we will be implementing a new entry door for students who wish to participate in the Breakfast Program. Books on Buses

Hello Parents,  I received the following information regarding an exciting opportunity for our students who ride the bus!  We have partnered with Calgary Reads and will be piloting "Books on Buses" throughout November and December.  This means there will be a book bin on the bus and students will be welcome to take a book to read on the bus and either return it for another book or keep the book as their own. How long will the pilot be running? Throughout the months of November and December.  Specifically, the start date will be the week of November 12 and the drivers will informed tomorrow. We have chosen a cross section of students over 7 schools and 2 service providers; from regular to alternative program, from preschool to middle school students, from general to specialized transportation. Communication

Dear Keeler Families,  Our principal Kenny Yeung sent out a principal’s message via school messenger last week.  The message will go directly to your email (Please contact Ms. Woznow in the office if you have changed your email address after submitting your demographic verification form at the end of August).  As mentioned in our previous post, the school is committing to a communication plan to ensure parents are connected to the school and their childs’ learning. Mr. Yeung will be sending out weekly messages via   school messenger . Messages will include school wide important dates and reminders, as well as, resources, system/school updates and anything that will keep our community informed (No messages involving sales or promotion of any products or services will be in these messages).
