Dear Parents,

In EDC this week we started reading "The Mitten," a story about a little boy who asks his grandmother to make him a pair of white mittens. He loses one of his mittens and it becomes a home for many different animals! Finally, a mouse crawls in onto a bear's nose and the bear sneezes, pushing all the animals out of the mitten. The little boy finds his mitten and takes it home. We are working on our pre-literacy skills by sequencing the order of animals that go into the mitten. We are exploring using our senses by playing with ice and snow in our sensory table! To continue to develop or gross motor skills, we are learning about the ways the animals in the mitten move.

We hope you enjoy seeing and learning about our adventures in EDC!

Kind regards,
Emily Cadman
